The Alhusen farm has existed for much longer. We have been cultivating our own blueberries since 1980. The self-picking plantation in Hämelhausen has been part of our operation since 1996. Some of the bushes there have been standing for about 50 years – blueberries are robust but demanding plants that are carefully tended for many years.

This care is genuine manual labor: old shoots are pruned every year, the grass between the rows is mowed, and the blossoms are protected from frost. Experience also counts during harvesting. This is how berries are produced whose journey from the field to our sales outlets in the region remains short and traceable.

During the season, you can pick your own blueberries in Hämelhausen or buy fresh blueberries at our locations. At the farm shop in Barme and in our online shop, selected farm products complement the offer.
